A Dallas-based painter named Carroll Burgoon recently donated nearly 500 copies of his Ode to Joy journal to the North Texas Chapter. Carroll invested more than 20 years, 40,000 hours and his endless talent into creating this beautiful journal that includes a number of his original artwork.
Carroll made this donation to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) because he wanted to give patients, survivors and their families an outlet to express their feelings and emotions during their blood cancer journey.
Carroll has a close connection to the LLS mission and the North Texas Chapter. His grandfather died of leukemia and he use to be very close friends with the former Team In Training Director in North Texas.
We know that Carroll's generous gift will serve as a source of comfort for patients and their families.
