Escobar, M.D., is one of the esteemed presenters at the 2015 Lone Star Blood
Cancer Conference. Dr. Escobar attended Universidad
Pontificia Bolivariana in Colombia, and earned her medical degree there. Dr.
Escobar continued her education in the United States, serving her internship at
Emory University and her fellowship at Baylor University Medical Center, before
becoming a physician at Texas Oncology-Baylor Charles A. Sammons Cancer Center.
Dr.
Escobar also serves as a member of many medical societies, including the American Board of Internal Medicine, the American
Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Hematology,
the American College of Physicians/American Society of Internal Medicine,
the American Medical Association, and the American Society of Bone
Marrow Transplant.
